Claremore Main Street will again offer Tales from the Top – Upper Floor Tours and Stories at their annual holiday event, Dickens on the Boulevard. The upper floors of five of Claremore’s most historic buildings will literally come alive during this year’s event scheduled in historic Downtown Claremore for Friday, November 20 and Saturday, November 21. “Dickens on the Boulevard with Tales from the Top – Upper floor Tours and Stories adds another step back in time to this annual event”, said Nan Pope, committee chair for this year’s event. “Participants will not only get a guided tour of the upper floors, but will also get to hear from a character closely associated with the building’s past as they portray their life in early day Claremore. We added new and different Tales this year. Be prepared to meet some very interesting people!”
Onstage entertainment will begin at 6:00 both evenings. The Artisan’s Village will be housed at 316 W. Will Rogers. Attendees can visit with the artisans and learn about life in the Victorian era as they ply their trade and answer questions. Featured tradesmen will include blacksmiths, glass blower, weaver, loomer, spinner, wood carvers, basket weaver, sculptor and more. For more information or volunteer opportunities, please contact Claremore Main Street, Inc. (918)341-5881, or mainstreet@claremore.org. Claremore Main Street, Inc. is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization dedicated to the revitalization of downtown Claremore with specific interest in historic preservation.
